Plate for Tuscan Memories
An etched Aluminium plate that I used to create eight etchings on paper called Tuscan Memories.
When preparing for a solo exhibition at the Pyramid Gallery in York I was worried that I did not have enough work.
I had a number of old plates, both collagraph & etched aluminium that were attractive in their own right so decided to include them in the exhibition.
A friend who was good at framing made bespoke mdf tray frames which I then painted white.
The aluminium plates were polished before mounting but the collagraph plates were left in their natural inked state.
