HTST Animalistic
Collagraph of plane tree bark and ink.
Created by inking up two sides of plane tree bark & placing them inside folded paper before putting them through the press.
This was part of project called 'Homage to Stillingfleet Trees' (HTST) that I embarked on as a response to the removal of a number of trees from the village green as they were not considered native to the landscape.
My studio overlooked the village green and I was saddened by the destruction & loss of habitat for birds, small animals & insects.
HTST became the theme of a solo exhibition at the Pyramid Gallery in York.
