Sow Earth Grow
This was the result of my first ever go at linocuts on a course at West Yorkshire Print Workshop about a year after learning the basics of collagraph & etching.
I don't know how I missed out on lino-printing at school but I did!
The image was cut on piece of traditional hessian backed lino which is very hard to work with.
I printed an edition of 12 on different papers using different ink colours but the blue on white somerset pictured here was my favourite.
I have done very little linocut subsequently but occasionally will use pieces of more easy to cut vinyl floor tile in my collagraphs.
