Fornovolasco Fountain
Fornovolasco Fountain

This collagraph was inspired by a frusrating day spent at Fornovolasco, a remote mountain village in Tuscany, whilst on a residential art course.
The tutor had given us half an hour to find a view to paint and to do a preliminary sketch before embarking on learning how to use acrylic glazes in painting.
It was too big an ask for me as I need to properly familiarise myself with somewhere new before I can embark on being creative.
So instead of doing what I should I ended up exploring the village with sketchbook & camera and discovered a simple fountain which I sketched
and it subsequently became the inspiration for this collagraph.
It might not have been the intended outcome of the day but I am very happy with the result!
